Week Two (Book Review)

1. Write a short (3-4 sentence) review of your book. Don’t forget to include information about the storyline (plot), main characters and setting. If you liked the book, your review should convince others to read the book. If you don’t like the book, your review should have a convincing argument against reading the book.

2. If you’ve ever read another Ramona book, compare it to Ramona Quimby Age 8. Is the one you read a good squeal? Similarities? Differences? If not, what would be a good squeal to Ramona Quimby Age 8?

  1. I didn’t like Ramona Qwimby age 8 as much as the other books like Ramona the brave, or Ramona the Pest. It wasn’t nearly as good because the other two where much more dramatic and had better description. In Ramona the pest, it was more exiting than the others.

    main problem ramona is sick and is having trouble in school and she thinks her teacher thinks that she is a show off and a newcence.
    climax ramona threw up in her class room and the car broke down.
    falling action mrs whaly talked with ramona and she rocks her book report.
    resolved man pays for dinner.

  3. Maddie and Sadie’s

    Maddie’s perspective: Good book with funny characters compared with Ramona Forever I think they are both good but Ramona Forever is better because I like that it is different than the other book because she has a new sister.

    Sadie’s perspective: OK book, not the worst book but definitely not the best eather. She threw up in class like I didin second grade. Coming from me it is not fun to throw up. Trust me.

    The characters are…. Ramona, Danny, Howie, Mrs. Whaley, the family, and Picky picky. The setting is… school, home, bus. The book is about a girl named Ramona and you read more to find out more. I like the book because there I like reading realistic fiction and there are sertain parts that are cool like the problem and the egg problem! That’s why I think you should read the book.

  7. In Ramona Quimby age 8 she talks with her teacher and finds out that she doesn’t think she is a show off. And she throws-up.And her car breaks down.
    Its sad and happy and its funny.
    It such a good book.

    it is funny in some parts sad in some parts because when she is cracking the egg and it is a not hard boiled egg is really funny and it is sad because she has some problems in school

  10. The characters are Ramona, her family, Howie, Willa Jean, Picky Picky, Mrs. Whaley, and Yard Ape. The setting is Kemp’s house, bus, house, school, and office. The problem is School, Teacher, Sick, Yard Ape, Egg, Strugling, and Not Happy. The climax is Ramona throws up, car breaks down, and book report. The Falling action is Ramona rocks her report, Ramona and her teacher talk. The resolved part is Man pays for dinner, Mrs. Whaley tells Ramona how much she likes her.
